BP Statistical Review of World Energy 2016 - A Year of Plenty 65th Edition

On the 7th of September, the British Chamber of Commerce co-hosted, in collaboration with The Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (ANZMEX), British Petroleum (BP) and World Energy (WE) the breakfast-conference “BP Statistical Review of World Energy 2016 - A Year of Plenty 65th Edition",at the Presidente Intercontinental Hotel. Mark Finley, General Manager, Global Energy Markets and US Economics at BP, presented the 2016 review.

 

 

 

Chris Sladen, Chamber Board member and President & Country Manager for BP in Mexico, welcomed attendees, thanked them for their attendance, and introduced Mark Finley.

 

Mark Finley gave an overview of the last year in the industry including important data, graphics and the outlook for the oil sector. Each attendee received a hard copy of the 2016 BP Statistical Review. Among the most important subjects addressed during Mr. Finley’s presentation were: GDP  growth, supply and demand, primary energy, prices, etc. The highlights of the review were an outlook on the oil and gas market, carbon emissions, the 2015 -2016 performance and oil prices. The growing natural gas market was also discussed. Mr. Finley briefed on renewable energies (wind and solar), their growth and market demand, and how they are re-shaping the industry.

After the presentation, a Q&A session took place where Chris Sladen encouraged attendees to participate and share their thoughts and questions with Mr. Finley.
